Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov visited schools in Aksu, restored under the program "Zamanaui mektep". In secondary school No. 8, the head of the region was presented with a STEM laboratory where schoolchildren grow lettuce on hydroponics and made an incubator.

The director of the school Sulushash Beshembayeva said that during the reconstruction, the dining room, the assembly hall and the facade of the school were overhauled with the replacement of windows. Also, contractors carried out landscaping of the adjacent territory.

The representative of the Board of Trustees of the school, Julia Kress, noted the comfort and warmth that appeared in the school after the renovation. The eldest of her three children is a graduate, the two youngest are studying at the primary and secondary levels.

- I remember the time when it was cold in the offices in winter, and now they are sitting in tank tops, - said Julia Kress. - My eldest child regrets that the school was not so beautiful when he studied here.

Biology teacher Tleuzhan Kumar told how, thanks to the initiative of the students, they began to grow plants on a hydroponic basis. In a short time, they have achieved impressive results.

- The children suggested making a hydroponic plant to grow lettuce leaves thanks to the vital activity of aquarium fish, - says Tleuzhan Kumar. - As a result, we grew lettuce leaves the size of a human palm.

Another project of the STEM laboratory is the construction of an incubator. As a result of trial and error, using temperature sensors, hydrometers and other equipment, the children received twenty chickens from twenty-five eggs.

During a conversation with teachers, schoolchildren and their parents, Abylkair Skakov noted that all conditions for a full-fledged educational process are being created in the region, According to the akim of the region, these opportunities should become the foundations for improving the quality of students' knowledge.

- A number of complex events are being implemented in the Pavlodar region within the framework of the Year of Children, - said the head of the region. - We have increased the cost of school meals, schoolchildren have received the right to free public transport.
