The head of the region, Abylkair Skakov, recalled the need to identify young talents not only in cities, but also in rural areas, and promote them. He said this during a working trip to the Bilim-Innovation Lyceum and the regional specialized military boarding school, where repairs were completed last year as part of the Zamanaui Mektep project.
In the lyceum "Bilim-Innovation" for young men (the former Kazakh-Turkish lyceum), the head of the region was told about the victories of his pupils, who often become winners of republican and international olympiads and enter the most prestigious universities in the world. It is this educational institution that is famous for its good traditions. For example, at the lyceum, in addition to the parent committee, there is a council of fathers. Almost every week, the fathers of the lyceum students organize friendly volleyball games, trying in every possible way to participate in the lives of their children.
“Our task is to bring up real men from our sons,” said Bakustar Zhangozin, head of the Akeler Kenesi Council. - In addition to volleyball matches, every week one of the fathers holds a lesson with our children, which raises issues that are important for teenagers. In addition, we organize joint field trips. Today, most dads take a minimal part in raising a child. We are trying to reverse this trend.
Another distinguishing feature of the lyceum "Bilim-Innovation" is the teaching staff. A third of it consists of young professionals. Each of them has mentors from among more experienced colleagues.
- When novice teachers actively interact with older teachers, this is a motivation for both of them, - said Abylkair Skakov. - If such communication is effective, it will positively affect the education and knowledge of students. This is very important in the field of education.
In the lyceum, the head of the region visited the classrooms of chemistry, biology, physics and computer science, which were equipped according to the most modern requirements. Akim also went to the assembly hall, where children are dancing and learning to play the dombra. In the hostel, he talked with the guys who only this year entered the Bilim-Innovation Lyceum. Among them were residents of Pavlodar, and people from Aksu and Zhelezinsky district.
The intricacies of military-patriotic education were shared with Abylkair Skakov at the regional specialized military boarding school. In the only military educational institution in Pavlodar region, there is an office "Zhas Sarbaz", where children undergo fire and drill training. Pupils of 276 military-patriotic clubs from all over the region can also study here.
“More and more graduates of our school and other educational institutions of the region are choosing military universities,” said Zhaslan Kozhanov, chairman of the regional children's and youth military-patriotic movement Zhas Sarbaz. - We try to make sure that upon admission they are ready both physically and intellectually.
Today, with a design capacity of 140 student places, 91 teenagers study at the military school. The akim demanded that the enrollment of students be increased by one and a half times next year. He noted that students for specialized schools should be recruited both in cities and in regions. To do this, the head of the region suggested inviting parents who would be interested to get acquainted with the possibilities of specialized educational institutions.
At the Abylkair military school, Skakov also visited the STEM laboratory, where children learn not only robotics, but also work with drones. In the sports hall, the akim was shown the skills of young cadets in high-speed disassembly of a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a demonstration performance in hand-to-hand combat.
