The head of the region, Abylkair Skakov, asked fellow countrymen to signal an increase in the cost of utilities, fuels and lubricants, and domestic solid fuel. The current rates of monopolists and the situation on the fuel market were discussed in the regional akimat.
Recall that on January 5, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev introduced a 180-day moratorium on raising utility rates throughout Kazakhstan. For this reason, the Department for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of Pavlodar region suspended the planned growth of rates and stopped considering applications of monopolists for their increase. Thus, all tariffs for utility services operating in the region were kept at the level of 2021.
- Additionally, we recommended to all monopolists for the period of the moratorium not to disconnect consumers from utilities due to debt, - added the head of the department, Ibrahim Tangiev. - Accounts receivable of consumers over three months as of January 1 is 1.725 billion tenge. The largest of them are debts for heat supply - 955 million tenge.
Along with this, in the Pavlodar region, it was possible to “freeze” the prices for municipal coal. The corresponding agreement in the management of energy and housing and communal services was concluded with local coal mining companies. Thus, a ton of coal from the cut of Maikuben-West LLP will still cost the population 7.5 thousand tenge, Gamma-Sarykol LLP - 5.5 thousand tenge, and Bogatyr Komir LLP - almost 2,000 tenge. 8 thousand tenge.
- At the initiative of the department, in order to save the cost of coal delivery, akims of cities and regions conclude memorandums with carriers, - emphasized the head of the department, Yerzhan Salkhanov. - The retail cost of solid fuel per ton, taking into account its delivery, remains at the level of last year and varies depending on the remoteness of the settlement from 8 thousand to 20 thousand tenge.
Akim of Pavlodar region demanded that the price issue with everyone who delivers coal to settlements be closed locally. According to him, it is also necessary to explain to consumers how the cost of supplied solid fuel is formed, so that people can independently control the validity of the price for this product. In addition, Abylkair Skakov called on residents of the region to report unlawful increases in tariffs and prices for fuels, lubricants and coal.
“Information on all these issues must be brought to the public in an accessible form,” he demanded. - Feedback needs to be established. To do this, we need a helpline where people can report an increase in the cost of the above-mentioned non-food items.
Akim instructed to ensure strict observance of the moratorium on increasing utility tariffs and state regulation of the cost of fuel and lubricants. He noted that any information about the unlawful increase in the rates of monopolists and prices for fuel and coal will be checked, and if a violation is confirmed against unscrupulous entrepreneurs, action will be taken.
