The volume of production in the agro-industrial complex of the region increased 1.4 times, and 1 budget tenge in the industry accounted for 4 tenge of private investment. The results of 2021 were discussed during a working meeting of the agricultural block of Pavlodar region.
According to the head of the agriculture department Nurbolat Makashev, the volume of gross output in the agro-industrial complex this year should reach 386 billion tenge. This is 1.4 times more than at the end of 2020.
“The growth was ensured by an increase in crop production by 16.7% and livestock by 3.8%,” the head of the department said. - The volume of processing of agricultural products also increased by 12% - up to 92.2 billion tenge.
As for the irrigated land, this year their area amounted to 136 thousand hectares. 5 thousand hectares of new irrigated lands were commissioned in Pavlodar region. From one hectare of irrigation, they managed to get 16 thousand tons of products, when, as on one hectare of rainfed lands in the region, 1 thousand tons of crops were grown.
“At the expense of their own and borrowed funds, our agrarians put into operation 25 projects worth 23.5 billion tenge, as a result of which 607 jobs were created,” Nurbolat Makashev continued. “Among the new projects are six dairy farms, one poultry farm, two feedlots and other facilities. In total, more than 89 billion tenge of investments were invested in the development of agriculture in 2021, which is twice as much as last year. On average, one tenge from the budget accounted for 4 tenge of private investment. If we talk about state support for the agro-industrial complex, at the expense of budgets of all levels, 28.4 billion tenge was allocated for these purposes in Pavlodar region.
During the working meeting, the priority tasks for 2022 were also discussed. Based on the National Plan for the Development of the Agroindustry, next year it will be necessary to work to increase labor productivity in the industry by 1.7 times, to provide the country and the region with the main food products of domestic production and to increase the export of agricultural products by 1.5 times. In addition, it is planned to introduce 13 investment projects in the Pavlodar region for 30 billion tenge. The projected planted area in 2022 will exceed 1.554 million hectares. This is 6% more than in the past year. It is planned to immediately increase the area of land for vegetables by 7%. For example, for cabbage - 2.8 times, and for onions - 4.2 times.
“Next year, we need to try to cover the region’s demand for cabbage and onions by 100%,” demanded the deputy akim of Pavlodar region Meiram Uteshov. - This is very important from the point of view of food security. At the same time, this is quite a feasible task, given that the region has the necessary capacities for vegetable storage and new irrigated lands are being introduced.
Concluding the meeting, Meiram Uteshov noted that already now the regional department of agriculture should be preparing for spring field work. He ordered that Pavlodar farmers receive the first funding as state support in late January - early February 2022. In addition, with the start of the sowing campaign in the region, the implementation of the tinning program will begin, which involves the development of pasture lands in those areas of the Pavlodar region where there is not enough land for grazing.
