Pavlodar children's neuropsychiatric center celebrated a housewarming

If earlier the center, where social services are provided to children with mental disabilities, was based in the industrial zone of Pavlodar, now it functions in the residential part of the city. On Independence Day, the new settlers were visited by the akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov.

Parents of special children and employees of the institution asked to relocate the infrastructure of the neuropsychiatric center from the Eastern industrial zone to the residential part of Pavlodar. Recently, the center has been operating in a building on Parkovaya Street, where the workshops of the workshop were idle for a long time. There is a playroom, separate offices for specialists, a spacious dining room and a medical block.

“For three years now, my son has been receiving the necessary help here, and all this time, together with other parents and employees of the center, we have been living as one friendly family,” said Olga Kopuscha, the mother of a special child. “And the fact that we got a new house for the Independence Day was a great gift for all of us. Now it is much more convenient for us to get to the center than it was before.

The head of the region, who visited the neuropsychiatric center, promised that the work on creating conditions for children with special needs would not stop there.

“The issues of rehabilitation and medical and social assistance to those who need it are priorities for us,” said Abylkair Skakov. - We have plans to build a large rehabilitation center for disabled people, expand the children's rehabilitation center, which operates on Lermontov Street, and a center for children with autism spectrum disorders. We understand the difficulties faced by families with special children, and we are ready to help them.

Today, 50 children are constantly in the hospital of the children's neuropsychiatric center. Another 20 children attend the day department of a medical and social institution.
