Compared to last year, the number of active small and medium-sized businesses in the Irtysh region increased by 1.5 thousand at once. The Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial and Innovative Development associates this with the implementation of the Business Ertis program. The interim results of the regional project were summed up at a staff meeting in the regional akimat.
According to the head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development Yernur Zhautikbaev, having started at the beginning of this year, the “Business Ertis” program has allowed many to open their own business. Thanks to the regional project, budding businessmen and experienced entrepreneurs learned about what kind of government support they can count on. As a result, only thanks to the tools of the Business Roadmap this year, 1339 projects were supported in Pavlodar region, when, as in 2020, three times fewer business initiatives were approved.
“Despite the lack of funding through Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC, we continue to implement the“ Economy of Simple Things ”program through second-tier banks," the speaker noted. - To date, 47 projects have been supported for the amount of about 7.4 billion tenge. In terms of the number of such projects, we occupy a leading position among other regions of Kazakhstan.
Business Ertis is also tasked with bringing entrepreneurs out of the shadows. This year alone, more than 11.3 thousand POS terminals were installed in retail outlets and service providers in the region. As for the taxpayers who installed online cash registers, their growth amounted to more than 4.5 thousand units. Thanks to this, for example, in the Bayanaul region, the increase in taxes to the local budget in comparison with last year exceeded 25%.
One of the most important victories of the regional program is the development of the site, which is scheduled to launch next year. The web resource will allow entrepreneurs to leave relevant requests and receive ready-made answers to a particular problem situation. Within the framework of the “Business Ertis Social” subproject, a personnel reserve of people with special needs will be formed on the site.
- I would like to note the opportunity to use a digital card of an entrepreneur on the resource, - said the deputy akim of Pavlodar region Saken Shayakhmetov. - Let's go, for example, to the section "Cafes, bars, restaurants". By marking any site in the regional center on the map, you can get data on the number of houses nearby, the number of people living within walking distance, the number of potential competitors. In addition, there is also such a service as "Calculator". It will allow you to calculate how much it will cost to open and maintain a cafe, taking into account the lease of premises, the number of employees and other components.
As the head of the region Abylkair Skakov noted, today all beginning entrepreneurs should be in the field of vision of state bodies. In addition, attention should be paid to the sectors most affected by the pandemic. According to the akim, the development of the economy as a whole depends on quality assistance to small and medium-sized businesses.
“Previously, the infrastructure to support SMEs worked in isolation, and this led to the fact that a certain part of the newly registered entrepreneurs were forced to close their business,” he said. - The reasons could be the lack of financial literacy, the emergence of problematic issues and much more. Therefore, we need to move to a service business support model.
Abylkair Skakov instructed to review the work of the front office in the House of Investors. The head of the region also recalled that it should include employees of all government agencies who are somehow involved in working with business.
