A memorandum on providing the local market with inexpensive potatoes in the off-season was signed in the Pavlodar region
According to the agreement reached by the local authorities and agricultural producers, 30 thousand tons of potatoes and more than 6 thousand tons of carrots will be laid for direct deliveries from vegetable storages. The bilateral document was signed at a meeting with the participation of the head of the region Abylkair Skakov.
During the meeting with vegetable growers, the governor of Pavlodar region reminded that today farmers receive serious state support in their work. This applies to investment subsidies received, cheaper fuel, and financial refunds for fertilizers and water. Therefore, the head of the region called on entrepreneurs to show social responsibility of business.
- Every kilogram pledged to the stabilization fund will be paid at a fixed price, - Abylkair Skakov addressed the farmers. - The main thing is that you fulfill your obligations for the shipment of products, which you sign in the signed memorandum.
According to this document, 33 large agricultural producers of the Pavlodar region will lay 30 thousand tons of potatoes and more than 6.1 thousand tons of carrots in their vegetable storages. In the winter-spring period, when vegetables traditionally become more expensive, these products will be delivered directly to social stores and agricultural fairs through the stable fund. The selling price of potatoes and carrots from vegetable storages will not exceed 95 tenge per kilogram.
Large potato and vegetable growers supported the initiative and assured that they would fulfill their obligations. Among them are representatives of "Aktogay Agro" LLP, "KH "Plowman" LLP, "Timur" peasant farm and others.
- The consumers of our products are ultimately the residents of our region, among whom there are many pensioners, - said Ravil Mingazov, the head of the Timur Farm. - Therefore, it would be wrong not to support this category of the population. I undertake to fulfill my obligations up to a kilogram.
The governor of the region thanked the farmers for their support and noted that the measures taken will allow to restrain the prices of vegetables in the off-season not only in the urban area, but also in the settlements around it.
