All of their Pavlodar volleyball clubs have declared only local athletes

The men's team "Pavlodar" consists entirely of local students, and in the women's squad "Ertis" there is only one invited athlete from Russia, who, according to sports rules, is not considered a legionnaire. The head of the region Abylkair Skakov met with the players and employees of the volleyball club.

The governor of Pavlodar region, who heads the local volleyball federation, visited the training of men's and women's teams in the Bayantau sports complex. This year, the club has updated its composition, placing a bet on the pupils of Pavlodar volleyball. Sports functionaries managed to attract to the team those who have been playing for squads from other regions of Kazakhstan for a long time.

- We are glad that athletes who have been playing for other clubs for years have returned home,-said Amanzhol Aubakirov, vice-president of the regional volleyball Federation. - We hope that with this composition the team will be able to claim medals in the national championship.

The athletes themselves and the club's employees expressed hope that the tournament competitions will finally begin to take place with the audience. Abylkair Skakov assured that in this case he will definitely watch the games of Pavlodar residents from the stands. The mayor wished the men's and women's teams success and promised them all possible support. The squads, in turn, handed the head of the region autographed balls from all the players.
