Better than in previous years: Zhelezinsk farmers shared their views on the harvest

During a working trip to Zhelezinsky district, Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov talked with local vegetable and plant growers, and also found out how effectively the "Auyl - El besigi"program is being implemented in the rural area.

The head of the region started the detour from the district center. In the village of Zhelezinka, he visited the complex of roadside service "U Salty". The point, which has been operating for several years, is popular both with truckers and among transit travelers plying the highway between Pavlodar and the Russian Omsk. This year, businessmen were helped to asphalt the parking lot in front of the complex with an area of 3.5 thousand square meters.

- After the improvement of the parking lot, our complex has acquired a completely different look, - said the owner of the complex Saltanat Kukuzova. - Now we have a hot time - truck drivers and tourists come by, so we needed such support.

Abylkair Skakov also visited the school No. 3 named after Myrzakyp Dulatuly in the district center. The head of the region talked with gifted children of the Zhelezinsky district, among whom there are prize-winners of regional and republican competitions, and wished them success in their studies.

- The last academic year, which for most students was held in a distance format, showed that both children, parents, and teachers should pay special attention to the process of obtaining knowledge, - he said. - I think we should say a huge thank you to our teachers. It is thanks to their work and perseverance that every child eventually receives basic knowledge that will come in handy in later life.

On the basis of "KAB" LLP, the mayor was told about the first results of potato harvesting. The yield in the fields of the enterprise, which is engaged in irrigated agriculture, today reaches 450 quintals of products per hectare and above. To store potatoes this year, entrepreneurs built a new vegetable storage facility for 3 thousand tons and brought the capacity of their warehouses to 11 thousand tons.

- There is a good investment climate in our district, - said the head of KAB LLP Timur Kabdulov. - Thanks to the help from the state, we have prospects for development. Next year we plan to build another vegetable storage facility.

In response to state support in the form of subsidies, Abylkair Skakov called on farmers to show social responsibility and provide the regional stable fund with their own products at an affordable price. This will allow for commodity interventions on the local market during the off-season, when the cost of potatoes is traditionally growing.

Buckwheat producers also told the head of the region about the first results. Farmers have just dumped the crop, but already from the selection they receive at least 15-18 quintals per hectare. Other farmers-forage harvesters-reported on the problem of watering pastures. According to the head of the SEC "Agrostatus" Ayaz Temirshotov, despite state support, it is quite difficult to find an underwater source to provide your own land with water in the Zhelezinsky district.

- The peasants should not be left alone with this problem, - the governor of the region stressed. - For this purpose, there are geologists and specialized organizations that can give calculations on the debit of water. In general, as for pastures, I can say that it is planned to develop a program of tilling in the region. It is necessary to grow perennial herbs in places where they do not grow. We will select several localities for this pilot project. Then there will be enough feed for both agricultural producers and personal subsidiary farms.

The Zhelezinsky grain growers also have good views on the harvest. For example, in the Novomirsky rural district, they receive at least 18 quintals per hectare, when in the previous two years this figure did not exceed 10.5. The head of the peasant farm "Cherepanov" Georgy Cherepanov noted that the key to success in their case was cooperation. Today, this enterprise cooperates with three other farms.

- This year's harvest is definitely better than in previous years, - the peasants said. - We usually harvest grain crops in 22 working days. Today we work as the weather allows, but when we go out into the field, we work until two o'clock in the morning.

In the village of Tserkovnoye, the head of the region was informed about the implementation of the "Auyl - El Besigi"program. Last year, according to the "Nurly Zher" program, a central water supply system was installed here. All 170 farmsteads were connected to the networks.

- We have lived without centralized water supply since Soviet times, - residents of Tserkovny told the mayor. - Every weekend we took out flasks, pots, cups and filled them with water. There are no such problems now.

After the water came to the village, other issues were addressed here. As part of the "Auyl - El Besigi", the windows in the local school were replaced here, six village streets are being repaired and the building of the house of culture is being equipped.
