Achievements of Independence: A round table was held in Pavlodar on the eve of the Constitution Day

The participants of the meeting were deputies, public figures, journalists and representatives of the cultural sphere.

A round table dedicated to the achievements over the years of Independence of Kazakhstan was held in the "House of Friendship". Opening the meeting, the head of the region Abylkair Skakov congratulated all the participants on the upcoming Constitution Day. He noted the huge role of the country's Basic Law in strengthening the interethnic and social harmony of Kazakhstanis.

- The basic law of our country is what the unity of Kazakhstanis is firmly based on, - the mayor said. - The Constitution guarantees us freedom of choice and the exercise of our own rights. The principles of a democratic state are the basis of both the Constitution itself and the entire Kazakh legislation. And it is on them that the development of our republic has been based since its independence.

The representative of the Otandastar Foundation, Mukhit Zhaksylyk, in his speech focused on the importance of such an institution as the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan for the country. He noted that in 1995, the ANC supported the adoption of the Constitution at a national referendum and since then has always supported the preservation of stability and national unity in the republic. The chairman of the public Council of the Pavlodar region, Svetlana Shin, in turn, spoke about the importance of learning the state language.

- Knowledge of the state language is an important factor in the consolidation of our society, - the speaker stressed. - The state's concern for its citizens, the creation of comfortable conditions for the life and development of every ethnic group living in our multinational country, give a new impetus and confidence in the future.

The head of the rehabilitation center "Samal" Zinaida Bagnenko recalled another achievement of Kazakhstan's Independence - the development of civil society. According to her, it was the efforts of the public that at one time managed to achieve the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site and launch nuclear disarmament around the world.

– The development of Kazakhstan as a dynamic, modern state with high standards of quality of life is possible only on the basis of the activation of human potential, the entrepreneurial spirit of citizens and the further formation of civil society, - said Zinaida Bagnenko. – The Basic Law of the country accumulates these ideas, including recognizing social harmony and the well-being of citizens as the fundamental principle of the republic's activity. This makes the Constitution of Kazakhstan the most important factor of political stability, the guarantor of civil peace, social and national harmony.

At the end of the round table, several of its participants received certificates of honor and letters of thanks from the akim of the region. In honor of the Constitution Day, the editor of the magazine "Naizatas" Asyl Abishev, the head of the rehabilitation center "Samal" Zinaida Bagnenko, the chairman of the Finno-Ugric ethno-cultural association of Pavlodar region Olga Nikolashina, associate professor of the Toraigyrov University Ildar Kaliyev, the famous archaeologist Timur Smagulov and the head of the local trade union of workers of culture, sports, tourism, information, budget and state spheres Almagul Kozbayeva were celebrated.
