The importance of professional orientation at an early stage of training was discussed during the presentation of the Atlas of New Professions of the Pavlodar region. According to the project manager, a well-known Kazakh expert in the field of education, Sayasat Nurbek, more than 2 thousand different specialists were involved in creating the atlas and about 2 thousand technological chains were studied at production facilities in the Pavlodar region. The document includes 40 new professions that will be relevant in the next 5-10 years. According to experts, it is possible to start training in 14 of these professions in the near future.
- We have already developed "pilots" for five professions with Toraigyrov University and several colleges, - said Sayasat Nurbek. - We have checked the readiness of large enterprises and prepared our recommendations on adjusting the state educational order at the regional level for these purposes. We can launch new experimental training programs this year. The atlas of new professions will allow analyzing the needs of the regional economy, forecasting them for the next 3-5 years and rebuilding the education system to the so-called advanced model of personnel training. After all, if in a few years we need specialists of a certain profile, we need to prepare them now.
In order to have a complete idea of how the labor market will be formed, it is necessary to conduct constant cross-sections among the younger generation. To this end, the experts proposed to introduce a pilot project on diagnostics and career guidance in schools in the Pavlodar region. The company is ready to train career guidance specialists for each educational institution. Then the competent authorities will be able to receive analytics about what interests high school students, whether they will stay in their native region and whether they are going to receive higher education. Akim of the region Abylkair Skakov supported the proposal and noted that random people should not work in the field of vocational guidance.
- Every career counselor in his school will become a kind of" ambassador of change", - said the governor of the region. - Their role should be played by specialists who are predisposed to work with children and can build communications with them. It is possible that it will not be possible to find the right person right away, so we need clear criteria for career guidance. When those who are really able to do this work will be engaged in this work, we will get a high-quality result.
They plan to start working on the Atlas of New Professions in the region starting next month. Recall that the Pavlodar region became the first Kazakhstan region to develop its own local atlas, designed to help solve issues with the training of in-demand personnel for the regional economy.
