The emergence of collective immunity is observed among doctors and teachers of the Pavlodar region

Experts attribute this to the fact that most doctors and teachers have received a vaccine against COVID-19. The epidemiological situation in the region was discussed at the next meeting of the regional headquarters for combating CVI.

According to the head of the health department Aidar Sitkazinov, there is an increase in the weekly incidence of coronavirus by 2.4% in the region: on average, 307 new cases of coronavirus infection per day. About 150 people are admitted to hospital beds a day.

- The first component of the vaccine against COVID-19 has been received by more than 255 thousand residents of Pavlodar region, the second component - more than 203 thousand, - said Aidar Sitkazinov. - There are 51 thousand doses of the first component of the drugs and 61 thousand doses of the second component in the remainder.

Akim of the region Abylkair Skakov drew attention to the fact that the highest incidence of coronavirus in the region is recorded in cities and areas with low rates of vaccination campaign. As noted at the meeting of the headquarters, the effectiveness of vaccination against COVID-19 can be judged, among other things, by a significant reduction in the incidence among medical workers and teachers, most of whom received vaccinations.

- The level of vaccination among representatives of these professions is high, the incidence is low. This indicates the formation of collective immunity among doctors and teachers, " Abylkair Skakov said. - A month or two ago, about 6.5 thousand residents of the region received daily vaccination, today this indicator has decreased. We need to return to the previous rates of vaccination. The autumn harvest, the SARS and flu season, the new school year are approaching – all this will be layered on the situation with the coronavirus disease.

Abylkair Skakov will continue to keep the pace of vaccination under personal control. The head of the region called on local akims and heads of departments not to stay away from the work to combat the spread of the virus and increase the rate of vaccination.
