Railway cluster revives in Ekibastuz
The enterprises, which were closed and worked temperamentally, had received the orders and started producing new products. Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov visited some facilities of the railway cluster in Ekibastuz.
The first place, the head of the region visited, was “Kazakhstan Car Manufacturing Company” LP. It received the order for the production of 1000 open cars from “Kaztemirtrans” JSC. The company has been closed for about 2.5 years and its head was forced to disband the team. Today, the company employs people again.
“We are ready to work this year and deliver the required quantity of the open cars. However, we are concerned that next year there may be no orders from NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and its subsidiaries. We also have tax and accounts payables, but we are ready to repay them if we are granted the right to pay by instalments. There is an investor, who is ready to invest in the enterprise, so there are the plans for the development”, the executive general manager of the company Dauren Zhunusov said.
Abylkair Skakov promised to support the car manufacturing company. He added that the company should focus on increasing the Kazakh content in its production. Ekibastuz akimat should also promote in cooperation with potential suppliers in Pavlodar region and Kazakhstan as a whole.
In "Prommashkomplekt" LP the head of the region was told about the situation with the production of railway wheels. About 215 th wheels have been produced here for more than 1.5 years. The company buys raw materials from Russia and Ukraine and supplies the products both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
“RWS Wheelset” LP, which produces railway axles and wheelsets, continues to work. This year the company has already the order - 10000 pairs of wheelsets for “ZIKSTO” JSC (Petropavlovsk) and another 4000 wheelsets for “Kazakhstan Car Manufacturing Company” LP.
“RWS Concrete” LP, which produced cross bars for railroad switches, did not work last year. This year it has the order from “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC. Moreover, the company also plans to start production of cross-sleepers this spring. The enterprise has launched a new automated line from Italy.
In “Ferro Trans Trade” LP it is scheduled to produce terminal clamps in the second half of the year. This part, which is need for rail fastening, has not yet been produced in Kazakhstan. The enterprise plans to create about 100 new jobs.
During the working trip akim of the region visited other enterprises in Ekibastuz. In “Ekibastuz Plant of Electric Machinery” LP Abylkair Skakov was told about the problem of payment for the contracts, namely when the enterprise cooperated with the large Kazakh companies. The plant received money for the work, it had done, only after 45 calendar days after the shipment of the repaired goods. The head of the region charged to consider the issue.
“Such plants can take part in the production of spare parts for the machine-building factories, for example “KVK” LP. It is necessary to establish cooperation between two companies, so that the customer can apply its own technical requirements and order the necessary parts. There is a need for it”, Abylkair Skakov added.
In "Trans-Beton 12" LP akim of the region was told about the production rates of reinforced concrete structures. It can produce up to 700 tons of concrete per shift, as well as floor slab panels and foundation wall blocks. Today, the products, prepared for the working season, are stored here. The products of the company are mainly used in the region.
The production of bakery products has been launched in the mills of the peasant farm "Leila". The products are mainly delivered to the local outlets.
Abylkair Skakov also saw the social facilities in Ekibastuz. The head of the region checked the quality of the repair work in the kindergarten №13 and visited one of the social shops, which buys food from the regional stabilization fund. The shop also has its own bakery, which allows selling bread at the discounted price.
