It was proposed to establish a cash award for support of women's entrepreneurship in Pavlodar region

Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkhair Skakov met with businesswomen of the region and discussed the possibility of grant financing and other issues of entrepreneurship.

The head of the region noted that active women's business community and development of all business sectors in Pavlodar region is closely associated with the activities of businesswomen.

“Many entrepreneurs can follow your example. You do your own business, charity work and create jobs – it is the great work. I am sure that we will be able to interact with you for the benefit of the business community of the region”, akim of the region said.

According to the regional business women's council, this year the share of women in business in the region was 49%. More than 19000 business entities of Pavlodar region are headed by women. At the same time women entrepreneurs do not forget about the social responsibility of business.

“During the pandemic, some of our businesswomen re-focused on the production of medical face masks. They not only bought them, but gave without payment. At the same time, we continue to implement our projects. For example, we train women of Pavlodar region in our "School of women's leadership". As part of the project «Жәрдем», we teach mothers with many children. One of the participants of the project has opened a children's center, 9 more people were employed”, the chairman of the regional branch of the Association of Business Women of Kazakhstan Aurika Dyak noted.

The problematic issues were also discussed in the meeting. Businesswomen told that they had some difficulties in the development of their business. They asked to organize a meeting with representatives of the monopolistic enterprises to discuss the situation. In addition, akim was offered to establish a special cash award for businesswomen.

“Women, who run a business, especially in rural areas, need such support. There are people, who are afraid to take the first step to success or who are in a difficult situation and only financial assistance will help them. Even 10 cash awards will make 10 families happy. We are ready to participate in this initiative”, the director of "Agrofirm "Ақжар Өндіріс" Gulzira Kazylova stressed.

The head of the region supported the initiative and promised to consider the possibility of grant financing.

Abylkair Skakov gave the awards to businesswomen. Gulzira Kazylova was awarded the prize "Recognition in business "AruAna", established at the national level this year.  13 women were awarded with the honorary certificates and letters of thanks from akim of Pavlodar region.
