The day of peace and harmony

The Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan was celebrated in Pavlodar region.

The main events took place in the central square, where the yurt camp was installed. Representatives of the ethnic and cultural associations organized the real holiday, sang the songs, danced and treated people with dishes.

“Today, all ethnic groups of the people of Kazakhstan represented their culture, customs, traditions and language. Yesterday we finished celebrating Nauryz and today we celebrate the holiday of the Kazakh people. I wish each Kazakhstan family peace and harmony”, the head of the association of Poles “Polonia” Vitaly Svintsitskiy said.

On the main stage all ethnic and cultural associations received grants for strengthening the interethnic harmony.

“We represent a friendly family of equal nationalities. Peace and harmony in the republic is the result of the high culture of wisdom of the people living here. The systematic work on strengthening the public harmony and national unity, cultural traditions and customs is carried out in the region. Public consent is the main achievement of independent Kazakhstan. We should proud of it”, akim of Pavlodar region B.Bakauov noted.

Meanwhile, more than 5000 people gathered in the hippodrome “Kulager”. A new season was opened.  About 60 representatives from all cities and areas of Pavlodar region as well as Astana, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, Karaganda and East Kazakhstan took part in the horse running.
