The Prime-Minister visited the enterprises of refinery coke calcination and production of alloyed aluminium

“The priority activity of SEZ “Pavlodar” is the manufacturing industry in the chemical and petrochemical sectors”, the official site of the Prime Minister primeminister.kz informed.

One of the projects implemented in SEZ is “UPNK-PV” L. It is engaged in pumping of petroleum coke for the needs of “Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant” JSC. “The company uses modern equipment and innovative technologies that improve productivity and product quality. Along with the domestic market, the opportunity of sending products for export to the Russian Federation and China is under consideration”, the director of “UPNK-PV” LP N.Aubakirov reported.

In addition, a new project for production of alloyed aluminum by “Gissenhaus” LP was implemented in the territory of SEZ “Pavlodar”. The director of the plant E.Shfets reported that the project capacity was 36 th tons of aluminum per year. The source of raw materials was primary aluminum, both in liquid form and in castings of “Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant” JSC.

The products of the enterprise will be sold in the domestic market and cover the demand for high-tech aluminum products. The export markets are also promising.

The project was implemented within the measures for creating a cluster of aluminum production facilities and will be the first in the history of metallurgy of Kazakhstan. It will allow the metallurgical industry to enter a new level of development.

Today, 27 participants have been registered in SEZ “Pavlodar”, 5 projects have been implemented to KZ 43 bln, products have been manufactured to KZ 24.2 bln and more than 1000 workplaces have been created.
