According to akim, after the license, given by the sanitary epidemiological inspection, agrarians can sell watermelons.

The next place, Bulat Bakauov visited, was the abandoned water canal. In the Soviet years, with help of that canal, commissioned in 1987, 5500 hectares of land was irrigated.

“Today the land around the highway is suitable for irrigation” the head of the production company “Ai-Bi-Al” Musai Alimov said.

The length of the canal was more than 30 km. Akim of Lebyazhye area Yernur Aitkenov has said today local authorities register the land. When the highway will be taken into communal ownership, it will be put onto the books of the republican state enterprise “Kazvodkhoz”.

“After reconstruction near the water canal, it will be possible to build a vegetable store and create a logistics center as the Pavlodar-Semey highway is not far from here. Here it will be possible to grow forage crops and open dairy farms”, Yernur Aitkenov noted.
