Holiday of the Great steppe

Ethnoaul from more than 110 yurts was opened during two days. The yurt city was decorated with different exhibits. The most popular was 10-meter dombra, made of metal and covered with artificial lawn.

Guests of the ethnofestival could see the exhibition of the farm animals (great and small cattle of Pavlodar region). People took photos with real hunting dogs and birds.

The well-known Kazakh akyns Ainur Tursynbayeva, Balgynbek Imashev and Zhandarbek Bulgakov sang arnau, dedicated to the festival and its guests. In a special place children could play and draw. Near there was a culinary duel, people cooked dishes of the nomadic people.

“This festival is the good example of the implementation of Nursultan Nazarbayev’s program article “Modernization of public consciousness” aimed at strengthening patriotism and national spirit of the people. Cohesion and unity are our main value. This is especially important today, as our President has said, we must respect our ancestors”, akim of Pavlodar region said.

Among the guests of the festival there were not only people of near abroad, the spouse Frederic and Maria Peonsart from France visited the holiday. They went to Pavlodar by motorcycles. They were interested in the horse show.

“We are very glad that we have paid a visit to the festival, organized with such love. Perhaps, we will come here next year”, Maria noted.

On the main stage, 300 dombra players played kyui «Құм жылан» by Zh.Musa. The Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Sekhen Turysbekov played kyuis«Көңіл толқыны», «Жанымнам тәтті өмір» and «Ұлы дала елі». In addition, Kazakhstan stars – Toregali Toreali, Nurlan Alimzhan and group “Muzart” performed there and presented the hymn of the festival. After that there was the gift for the guests – seven parachutists performed the ritual “shashu” from 1500 meters.

In the sports zone there were competitions in kokpar and audaryspaku. Everyone could take part in the folk games “Тас көтеру” and “Бұқа көтеру”.

Girls and dzhigits organized a show during the contest “Қыз қуу”. More than 50 young girls and boys demonstrated the Kazakh national costumes in “The history of the clothes of the nomadic people for five centuries.”

The Kazakhstan stars «Ertys Promenade» finished the festival. After that there was the firework in the central embankment of the city (about 10 minutes).
