Serve two masters

Akimat of Pavlodar region and “Samruk-Energo” JSC signed a memorandum, which provides for implementation of some projects. Among them – introduction of the cyclic-flow technology for production and transportation of coal in the mine “Bogatyr” and expansion and reconstruction of Ekibastuz HEPS-2 with installation of the power unit N3.

The document was signed by akim of Pavlodar region Bulat Bakauov and chairman of the board of the joint-stock company Almasadam Satkaliyev.

“Installation of the third power unit in the station is our lifelong dream. We have worked on this issue for some years, certain work has been done, some equipment has been already manufactured, so we have to start. This project needs for investments and its implementation will take about two years”, the head of the region noted.

According to akim of the region, the project for construction of the third power unit will be an additional impetus for the development of Solnechniy village. Here some multi-storied houses are idle. Workers of HEPS-2 can occupy the house for the period of installation and operation of the new power unit.

As it turned out, according to the memorandum, “Samruk-Energo” JSC will work to reduce the impact on the environment, using the ash and slag wastes technologies.
