Representatives of the Polish investors met with akim of Pavlodar region Bulat Bakauov to discuss joint work in agriculture. The initiators of the projects noted that they planned to build a greenhouse for cultivation of tomatoes in the region.
“We have already seen the area where we can build a greenhouse and by October 15 we will determine with its detailed equipment. The main part of the project financing (85% of the total amount) will be given by the Polish bank BGK under the state program of business support. The rest amount should be given by Pavlodar – private person or, for example, social-entrepreneurial corporation “Pavlodar”. Today, we consider the second option of cooperation”, the head of “EMPK” LP Nikolay Kartashov, working with the Polish investors in Kazakhstan, said.

As it turned out, there is the existing project of the greenhouse and the contract organization, which is ready to perform construction and installation works. If the result is positive, the greenhouse can be built during one year.

“Builders will have time to construct the frame for six months. The only thing, we need to close the greenhouse and heat it by October 20-25 next year, so that the snowfall does not destroy the glass roof. I think we will have enough time to gather the first harvest by the end of 2018”, the businessman said.
The investors were also interested in the construction of a starch factory. Akim of Pavlodar region made them such offer during their last visit. They promised to make a concrete proposal for the project of that enterprise within two weeks.
Bulat Bakauov assured that the investors would be supported. The parties continue the negotiations.
