What documents are needed for the appointment of benefits for the care of people with disabilities of group I ⠀

In October of this year, the law "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on social protection of certain categories of citizens" came into force. The amendments primarily concern an increase in the allowance for children with disabilities. The disability group for minors will now be assigned from the age of 7, and not from 16, as it was before.

In addition, Kazakhstan has introduced a new allowance for the care of persons with disabilities of group I, regardless of the cause of disability. Its size was 48,023 tenge.

Since November 4, the PSC of the Karaganda region has already started accepting documents for the assignment of benefits. Disabled persons of group I have the right to apply for the assignment of benefits to the caregiver also through the E-government web portal or to the ITU subdivision at the place of residence at the initial establishment of group I.

⠀To assign benefits for the care of a disabled person of group I, it is necessary to apply with the following documents attached to it:

- an identity document (identity card, candace certificate, certificate of a stateless person, residence permit of a foreigner or an electronic document from the digital documents service);

- a document confirming the establishment of guardianship (guardianship) over a disabled person of group I (if there is such a fact);

- certificate of disability of the person being cared for;

- a document confirming information about the bank account number in an authorized organization;

- a certificate of the absence of the fact of the condition registered at the Mental Health Center.
