Urban ecological and ornithological quest "Sinichkin day"
On November 20, 2023, on the basis of KSU "Secondary School №7", employees of the Department of Ecotourism and Local History of the "Educational and Research Ecobiocenter" conducted a city ecological and ornithological quest "Sinichkin Day". The event was organized with the aim of involving students in the work of studying the biological diversity of their native land and activating the birdwatcher movement in the city's schools.
The quest was attended by 6th grade students and teachers overseeing the "Let's Help the Birds" campaign. Schoolchildren were actively involved in the study of the avifauna of East Kazakhstan, answering the questions of the quest, they came to the conclusion about the importance of feeding birds in winter; about the types of food for wintering birds; about the features of the manufacture and placement of feeders. One of the stages of the quest was the performance of the winner of the city NPC "Zerde-2023", a student of the 6th grade of secondary school № 7 Kuzmina Arina - "Studying the avifauna of an urbanized territory on the example of the school territory of secondary school № 7 of Ust-Kamenogorsk". At the final stage of the event, the most active participants of the quest were presented with posters "Birds wintering in the cities of Kazakhstan", issued by the Kazakhstan Biodiversity Conservation Association.
