On June 2 and 3, 2023, the first showdown tournament in Kazakhstan among children with visual impairments started in Almaty. This is a relatively new sport, which is table tennis for visually impaired people, where special equipment is used: sonic balls, protective gloves, impenetrable eye masks. The tournament was attended by teams from different regions of Kazakhstan. The East Kazakhstan region was represented by pupils of KSU "School-center of additional education 19" of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. According to the results of the team game, the team won a bronze medal, and in individual conditions, the school has 1st place for Natalia Tsykunova, 2nd place for Kenzhebek Dosym and 3rd place for Ekaterina Sukhova. This is a huge win! When asked if there was any excitement, Natasha, who won 1st place in the end, said that most of all she was afraid of not having time to prepare for the competition, since the equipment donated by the Dara Foundation arrived in East Kazakhstan region relatively recently. But as we can see, everything worked out. Bravo guys and keep it up!
