The contest "The Best Teacher" started in Kazakhstan

On the eve of the Teacher's Day, the competition "The Best Teacher" started in the country. The winners will receive prizes in the amount of 3 million tenge. Recall that last year 64 teachers from different regions of the country received 3 million tenge.
Regular teachers of organizations of preschool, secondary, technical and vocational education can take part in the competition. This year, a lot of work has been done in terms of digitalization: all stages of the competition - from the registration of participants to the summing up of the results of the republican stage - are fully digitized.
Acceptance of documents begins on September 12 and will last until September 22, 2022. Information about the competition will be posted on the kundelik.kz service, which is used by all 380,000 teachers in Kazakhstan.
Also, for the first time in the history of the competition, all stages - acceptance of applications for participation, registration, submission of competition documentation, assessment - will be carried out on the web portal https://teachercontest.iac.kz/.
“The competition is important because it provides an opportunity to celebrate the work of dozens of teachers who are the best of the best. We have increased the prize fund and we hope that this will become a motivation for strong specialists to enter the profession and a tribute to those who have been working in the profession for decades. The title of "Best Teacher" can be claimed by teachers who work in educational organizations and have a continuous teaching experience of at least five years at the time of submission of documents. These are teachers of kindergartens, schools and colleges.The competition will take into account the teacher's contribution to the development of the education system, his professional skills and performance. I note that every year not only the number of applicants is growing, but also the level of their preparedness. This indicates an increase in the status of the teacher and the quality of education in general. This year, each teacher participating in the competition, after filling out the questionnaire, will be able to track the further dynamics of the competition - at which stage the participants are, what points they were given by experts, ”said Gulmira Karimova, Chairman of the Secondary Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that the competition consists of three stages: Stage I - district / city level, Stage II - regional level; III stage – republican level. According to the results of two competitions, those teachers who were able to score the highest points go to the republican level.
The Republican contest "The Best Teacher" has been held since 2012. During this time, about 600 teachers of organizations of preschool and secondary, technical and vocational education were noted within the framework of the competition.
Holders of the title of "Best Teacher" will receive not only a cash reward of 3 million tenge, but also badges.
