Ecological and biological workshop: "Fundamentals of entomological research"

Summer 2022 is approaching - the time for travel and excursions, when young and inquisitive nature explorers are provided with endless opportunities for observation and discovery. The nature of the East Kazakhstan region is distinguished by a wide variety of plants and animals, but representatives of the animal world of the class of insects of various ecological groups, which play a huge role in natural ecosystems and agrocenoses, are truly numerous. Entomology is the study of insects. In this regard, on May 17, 2022 at 15.00 at the Palace of Schoolchildren's Creativity at st. Chekhov, 63 in the design scientific and environmental laboratory of young naturalists of the "Training and Research Ecobiocenter" of the Education Department for the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk of the UO VKO (office No. 301) an ecological and biological workshop was held on the topic: "Fundamentals of entomological research" languages). The workshop was conducted by: scientist entomologist, master of biology, senior lecturer of the department "Biology" NAO "VKU im. S. Amanzholova ”Karmenova Bagdat Kazyretovna (in the state language) and Deputy Director of the Institute of Ecobiocenter for general educational work, teacher-researcher Yury Grigoryevich Lukyanets (in Russian).
The goal is to form in students a holistic ecosystem understanding of the world around us and methods for conducting entomological research.
The event is aimed at students of city schools engaged in scientific design in the field of natural science and ecology, and their supervisors.
In the course of a fascinating conversation, accompanied by a slide show with author's photographs of insects of the East Kazakhstan region, the students got acquainted with the basics of the methodology of entomological research. The most inquisitive participants received qualified answers to their questions.
14 young naturalists and 3 teachers from 3 schools of Ust-Kamenogorsk took part in the meeting of the school of scientific design.
