Book exhibitions dedicated to Nauryz holiday

On the eve of the spring holiday of Nauryz, celebrated on the day of the spring equinox, March 21, book exhibitions, screenings, expositions were arranged in school libraries: “Nauryz is a holiday of light and joy”, “Nauryz is a holiday of peace and goodness”.

"Nauryz" means "birth of spring". This is the most important and ancient holiday among the Eastern peoples. According to the ancient Eastern calendar - New Year: "Ulys Kuni" - "First day of the New Year" or "Ulystyn uli Kuni" - "Great day of the people". The well-known belief among the people "as you meet the new year - so you will spend it" was among the ancient Kazakhs. Therefore, the meeting of Nauryz was accompanied by the preparation of all kinds of dishes and goodies, various rituals and ceremonies were held. Only then, according to folk wisdom, prosperity came to the house. "Nauryz kutty bolsyn!", "Ak they say bolsyn!" - these are sacred wishes, which mean abundance and prosperity.
Nauryz is also a family holiday, because on this bright and joyful day all family members try to get together for a friendly, rich dastarkhan. This is an occasion to get together with relatives and neighbors, chat, learn the latest news, invite guests. Therefore, many exhibitions are called "Family is a source of inspiration", "My family is my joy".
The exhibitions present books that tell about the history of the celebration of Nauryz meiramy, its origin and significance in the cultural and spiritual life of the Kazakhs, about the nature of Kazakhstan, about the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, about the words of blessing and wishes, about the Kazakh national yurt, national dishes, national games , about the folk craft: “Nauryznama”, “Nauryz kozhe”, “Ulttyk salt-dastürler”, “Kazakhtyn kiiz uyi”, “Babadan kalgan bar bailyk”, “Kazakhtyn ulttyk kiimderi”, “Life and culture of the Kazakh people”, “Kazakh folk customs”, “Etiquette of the Kazakhs” and others. In addition to book exhibitions, the libraries arranged exhibitions of students' drawings on the theme "My Fatherland - Kazakhstan".
