Give books with love!

World Book Giving Day is celebrated on February 14th. This holiday appeared in 2012 and is intended to unite everyone who gives books to children and instills in them a love of reading. Everyone can bring books to libraries, schools, children's institutions. From February 8 to February 14, 2022, in the schools of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, the action "Give a book to the school library" was held, in which students of grades 1-11 and their parents, teachers, school graduates took part. School libraries were donated 980 copies of popular science, reference, fiction and children's literature, including 92 copies of brand new books. Berezina Svetlana, a graduate of gymnasium No. 38, donated 30 books to the school library.
The action was attended by 108 teachers and parents of students. They donated 156 books. Particular activity was shown in schools No. 9, 11, 20, 38, 42.
Participants of the action wrote good wishes to readers, gave advice on why it is worth reading this or that book. Open viewings of donated books were organized in school libraries.
