TURKESTAN: FELT ART COMPETITION HELD

TURKESTAN: FELT ART COMPETITION HELD
As part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the country's Independence, the akimat of the Sauran district held a contest "Felt art - the Heritage of nomads" in the Turkestan region. Grandmothers from 12 rural districts took part in the event. In the old days, felt was rolled by the older women in the village. They gathered, washed the wool together and got down to business directly. It was very interesting for the guests to watch this spectacular spectacle. During the work, the contestants communicated and did not even notice how a work of art was being created in their hands. Once upon a time, almost every house had such a carpet.
The manufacture of flamethrowers is an ancient textile art. It covered the floor of the yurt, in winter it saved from the cold, and in summer - from the heat. The traditions of making tekemets are carefully preserved and are an integral part of our distinctive national culture.
In the final, the contestants demonstrated all stages - from the preparation of wool to the creation of a beautiful decorated tekemet with traditional ornaments. According to the results of the competition, the jury determined the winners in several categories. The nomination "En uzdik kol oner sheberi" was received by the team of grandmothers Daria Tolkyn. In the nomination "Sheberdin koly altyn" the group "Asyl azheler" got.
The national team "Asyl kazyna azheleri" was awarded in the nomination "Onerli men onegeli azheleri". The audience Award was awarded to Abdulayeva Anarkul from the village of Abay in the rural district of Babaikorgan and the craftswoman from the village of Eski Ikan - Usmanova Karamkhon. All winners were awarded prizes and gifts.
