With the commissioning of the “Suyndyk” water utility in the Sozak district, 960 hectares of irrigated land in the village of Sozak will be put into circulation. Today, the “Suyndyk” canal, built more than 40 years ago in the district, is being overhauled. Last year, construction work was started by order of the Department of Agriculture of the Turkestan region.
The progress of the work is under the control of the akim of the Sozak district, Salykhan Polatov. "Tray shields" have already been installed on 19 km of the “Suyndyk” water utility with a length of 23 km. Major repairs will be completed by the end of the year. As a result, the efficiency of hydraulic structures will increase, and the irrigated lands will be fully provided with water during the growing season.
