TURKESTAN: 2 THOUSAND KILOMETERS OF ROADS WILL BE REPAIRED

By the end of 2021, it is planned to increase the share of highways of regional and district significance in good and satisfactory condition from 79% to 87%. The indicator of this indicator is planned to increase by 99.5% in three years. The implementation of the road industry development plan for the region for 2021 was reported at a staff meeting chaired by akim of the Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev.

With the funds allocated for the development of the road industry this year, more than 600 objects, about 2 thousand km of roads and streets have been covered in the Turkestan region. Almost half of them are aimed at updating local roads, that is, the streets of district settlements of the region.

Major and medium repairs of roads with a length of 50 km are being carried out in Maktaaral, Zhetysay, Keles districts. In addition, in these areas, on behalf of the akim of the Turkestan region, 11 highways of regional significance, with a length of 180 km, are being repaired by processing the road surface. In the near future, the highway will be fully put into operation.

This year, the commissioning of roads in the directions of Turkestan-Kentau, Turkestan-Baltakol, Aksukent-Karamurt, Shymkent-Sairam, Sharapkhana-Zhanabazar, Arys-Shardara and work on highways of regional significance in districts is being completed.

Reconstruction of 26.6 km of the access road to Turkestan from Kentau has begun. 80 km of roads on the routes Turkestan-Baltakol, Turkestan-Karnak-Kentau will be ready by the end of the year. In addition,funds are provided for the repair of 87 km in the directions of Turkestan-Karnak-Kentau, Kentau-Aschysai. Major repairs of the road with a total length of 41 km in the direction of Shardara-Arys will be fully completed in the coming days.

Currently, 50 km of the highway along the routes Aksukent-Karamurt, Shymkent-Sairam, Shymkent-Koksayek are also being repaired. Appropriate funds are also provided for the average repair of the road in the directions of Shaulder-Koksarai-Bayyrkum and the Otyrar settlement of the Otyrar district. In Ordabasy district, medium-sized road repairs are being carried out on the routes Temirlan-Kyzylsengir, Kainar-Stydyzhar, Badam-Shubar. These territories are transferred to the next year. Road repairs are continuing in the Kazygurt, Tulkubas, Sozak, Baydibek, Tolebi districts and the city of Arys.
