To achieve results in improving the environment in the region, they exchanged experiences and shared their opinions. At the international scientific and practical conference in Turkestan, the resolution "green zone of cities, prospects for the maintenance and development of green spaces"was adopted. The event is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's independence.
At the meeting of the akimat of the Turkestan region, environmentalists and international experts, issues of maintaining, improving and increasing the volume of the green zone of the Turkestan region were discussed. Now on the territory of the green belt of the regional center, seedlings of elm, acacia, maple have been planted.
For the development of forest crops on the territory of the green belt of the city of Turkestan on the basis of the KSU "Zhasyl aimak", it is necessary to form a forest-seed territory on a breeding basis, expand the nursery economy. Today, one of the priority areas is the expansion of the area of green spaces, the greening of settlements and the creation of green zones around them. It was noted at the meeting that the implementation of the tasks should be carried out on the basis of scientific achievements. The Kazakh Research Institute of Forestry and Agroforestry named after A. N. Bukeikhan plays an important role in this.
Scientists of the Tashkent State Agrarian University, who took part in the meeting, shared their experience and subtleties of planting trees in areas with adverse weather conditions. As a result of the meeting, a resolution was adopted, which gave a new impetus to the work on improving the green zone. Further work will be continued within the framework of this concept. Currently, about 12 million seedlings have been planted in the green zone of the city of Turkestan on an area of 7700 hectares. And the area of the green zone will double.
