TURKESTAN: ACTIVE PREPARATION FOR THE HEATING SEASON IS UNDERWAY

At the weekly staff meeting, the progress of preparations for the upcoming heating season was discussed under the chairmanship of akim of the Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev. This important issue is now under special control. Having familiarized with the preparations for the heating period, the governor of the region instructed the responsible managers to strengthen the pace of work.

In the Turkestan region, 11 centralized heating boilers operate in seven districts and cities. In the region, about 600 multi-storey residential buildings and about 2.5 thousand budget institutions are connected to central heating. Today, 85 % of them are ready for the heating season. Work is underway to provide solid fuel. All work will be fully completed by September 1.

In addition, 9 boiler houses are being installed for newly built residential buildings in the city of Turkestan and work is underway to modernize heat supply networks in microdistricts №1, 2. The latest data on coronavirus infection and the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the region and the results of the work of mobile groups were presented at the staff meeting. The Turkestan region is in the green zone in terms of the incidence of coronavirus. According to the number of patients, the region is at a low level in the republic. Despite the fact that the number of people who have recovered from a dangerous infection has increased, it is still impossible to relax in any way. So, Umirzak Estayevich warned about strict compliance with quarantine requirements in order to avoid an outbreak of this virus.
