Farmers and entrepreneurs of the Kazygurt district provided assistance to farmers of the Kyzylorda region affected by the drought. 3 wagons of hay were sent from the railway station of the city of Shymkent. 50 tons of feed were sent to the Aral district of the neighboring Kyzylorda region, where an emergency situation was recently declared. Feed will be distributed free of charge to farmers who find themselves in a difficult situation due to a lack of feed in the region.
It is worth noting that in March-April of this year, in most of the southern and western regions of the country, spring precipitation fell less than normal, and the air temperature became higher. As a result, the drought, which has not been for many years, has hit the livestock industry hard.
The drought affected farmers of the Turkestan region. However, the situation in the region is stable. As a result of the diversification of crops, the area of forage crops in the region amounted to 216.8 thousand hectares. The peasants were provided with land from the forest fund for temporary use. Thus, the farmers of the region have a 100% opportunity to prepare and collect the necessary 3.9 million tons of feed.
During this time, the southerners united and sent more than 70 wagons of feed to the western and neighboring Kyzylorda regions. In this good cause, support is provided by JSC "National Company" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
