TURKESTAN REGION HAS ENTERED THE "YELLOW" ZONE IN TERMS OF THE RATE OF SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS INFECTION

The Turkestan region has entered the "yellow" zone in terms of the rate of spread of coronavirus infection. As of July 18, 176 cases of COVID-19 were registered in the region. These and other important issues were considered at the staff meeting chaired by the governor of the region Umirzak Shukeyev

According to the head of the regional public health department, Marat Pashimov, currently 958 people are receiving treatment for coronavirus infection, 916 of them are in infectious hospitals, 42 are in quarantine hospitals and 158 people are in home quarantine.

"Currently, the Turkestan region has moved to the "yellow" zone in terms of the incidence of CVI. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 505,675 people have been vaccinated with the first component of the vaccine. The second component is 315,226 people. 128 vaccination points are currently operating in the region. There are also 14 PCR laboratories in the region, including 10 state PCR laboratories. Over the past day, 1,347 people were examined in the laboratories. 2020 infectious, 300 quarantine and 315 intensive care beds have been deployed in the region, " M.Pashimov said.

In addition, during the meeting, the head of the region pointed out the low efficiency of the work of mobile groups, instructing to review and strengthen their work. It should be noted that most of those suffering from coronavirus infection were infected in public places during festive, family events.

"Akims of districts and cities need to take control of the work of restaurants, toykhans and strictly prevent the holding of various events," said U.Shukeyev.

At the same time, during the meeting, akim of the city Nurbol Turashbekov spoke about the ongoing work on landscaping and improvement of the regional center, and data on the implementation of the employment roadmap since the beginning of the year were also heard.
