BY 170 BILLION TENGE PRODUCED AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR IN THE TURKESTAN REGION

In the field of agriculture for 5 months of the current year, more than 170 billion tenge of products were produced. Growth compared to the same period last year - 3%. Among them: in the livestock industry - 136.6 billion tenge, in crop production-31.1 billion tenge. 15.3 billion tenge of investments were directed to the industry, the indicator increased almost 2 times compared to last year. In order to provide the country with domestic products until 2025, measures have been taken to implement 93 investment projects worth 810 billion tenge. This year, 36 projects worth 83.5 billion tenge are being implemented. This was announced by the mayor of the Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev at a briefing in the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"This year, the sown area of agricultural crops amounted to 845 thousand hectares, the plan is 100% fulfilled. 54 hectares of new greenhouses were built, the total area of which reached 1,300 hectares, and 74 thousand tons of products were produced. Today, about 3 thousand farms receive 2-3 crops a year and about 100 thousand tons of vegetable products have already been collected. Currently, agrotechnical measures are being carried out in the framework of obtaining the second crop," Umirzak Shukeyev said at a live press conference.

It should be noted that within the framework of the formation of the food belt, 6 breakthrough major investment projects worth 35.5 billion tenge are being implemented in the city. The plan provides for the introduction of sprinkler irrigation technology on 11 thousand hectares. In the livestock industry, there is a steady growth in the number of livestock. Meat production increased by 4%, milk - by 3.1%, eggs-by 8.5%. In general, by the end of the year, the volume of agricultural products is expected to reach 850 billion tenge. In addition, labor productivity increased by 19%, and the annual plan was fully implemented.
