The high temperature of the air and its large purge lead to the fact that the soil becomes dry. This explains the relatively low survival rate of plants. Worldwide, this figure is 70%, and in our region - 50%.
To improve the environment, actions on planting green spaces in the settlements of the Turkestan region are carried out on a regular basis. In addition, canals, ditches, wells and reservoirs are constantly being built in the region. In the address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 1, 2020 "Kazakhstan in new conditions: during the period of action", it is planned to plant 2 billion rubles to improve the environmental situation on the territory of the republic. seedlings of various trees.
In accordance with this, the akimat of the region, together with the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, adopted a Comprehensive plan, in which 110,210 hectares will be planted in 5 years, planting 170 million saplings of trees. For high-quality and complete implementation of the planned works in the field of forest reproduction and afforestation, additional equipment will be purchased, and the staff of specialists will be increased.
Alimzhan Rakhimzhanov, chairman of the board of the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Forestry and Agroforestry named after A. N. Bukeikhan, shared his opinion:
«The " green zone "of Turkestan is being created as an analogue of the " green zone " of the city of Nur-Sultan. To date, Kazakhstan has adopted a plan for greening the territory around settlements. In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, we have begun to create this "green zone", and it is being created in very harsh soil conditions. The air temperature in summer here exceeds 35 degrees, and the humidity is very low. There is very little precipitation. To create such a "green zone", a lot of work is being done, nurseries are being created. The "green zone" around Turkestan is planned to be created on an area of 30 thousand hectares. The most heat-resistant tree species will be planted here, " the expert said.
Svetlana Anatolyevna Kabanova, head of the Department of Forest Reproduction and Afforestation, offered the help of scientists in creating a "green zone".
"The creation of " green zones " around cities is a very important event. We can give scientifically based recommendations for their creation and preservation around the cities of Kazakhstan. Around Turkestan - this is a titanic work. Because it is very difficult to create this "green zone"in your soil climatic conditions. And the air temperature is very high, " S. Kabanova said.
