"TAZA TABIGAT" ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT LAUNCHED IN TURKESTAN

In Kazakhstan, on the eve of the celebration of Nauryz, the implementation of the national environmental project "Taza tabigat"has started. The Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the regional akimats, organized actions for planting trees, improving territories, and cleaning springs in a number of regions. The nationwide project started in Turkestan and continued in other regions of Kazakhstan.

This was the fulfillment of the order of the President of the country to plant 2 billion trees in the forest fund and 15 million trees in cities. Within the framework of the "Mekenim – zhasyl Elim" campaign, 486 thousand trees were planted in the country, 60 thousand people took part in the campaign. In the challenge "Bul menin agashym" school students planted 39 thousand trees and involved 31 thousand people.

"Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Address to the people of the country outlined the importance of improving the state of the environment. National environmental measures are envisaged in the election program of the Nur Otan party and in the framework of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence. In other regions, similar events will be held in April with the establishment of favorable weather, " Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev said during the rally in Turkestan.

In the newly created "green belt" of the region, where the head of the Ministry of Ecology arrived on a working trip, perennial tree seedlings were planted.

"There are 3 million 131 thousand hectares of forest land in the region, of which the area covered by forest is 1 million 630 thousand hectares. It is planned to expand the territory of the "green belt" around Turkestan by another 3,000 hectares by next year. For the development of forest nurseries, we grow 35-40 million different tree seedlings every year, " mayor of the region Umirzak Shukeyev said.

In accordance with the Comprehensive Plan adopted jointly by the Akimat of the Turkestan region and the ministry, 170,000,0 seedlings with a total area of 110,210 hectares will be planted in the region by 2025.

During the event, with the participation of veterans, Kazakh journalists and media representatives of Turkic-speaking countries, who gathered at the Turkestan International Media Forum, trees were planted in the Botanical Garden near the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yassawi. Plums are planted in the fruit field on the new road to the airport. Parks and alleys are landscaped and a clean-up day is organized.

Magzum Mirzagaliyev highlighted the special importance of holding the "Taza tabigat" campaign in the city of Turkestan during the celebration of Nauryz and noted the need to make the campaign traditional.

"The sacred holiday of the Turkic world always brings success and glory to every locality and every home. The attention of visitors to the city, which, thanks to the initiatives of Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, is successfully thriving and developing, is primarily directed to the atmosphere of cleanliness and the "green belt". It is important to make it a tradition to improve and tidy up the territories during the celebration of Nauryz Meirama. Such actions increase the ecological culture of the population, form a careful attitude to nature. I am glad that the number of citizens who are not indifferent to environmental problems and actively participate in such events is growing in Kazakhstan," the minister stressed.

On the scale of the campaign, the project on cleaning the territories from garbage "Birge – Taza Kazakhstan"also continued in these regions. Within the framework of the "Taza su aidyndary" campaign, order was restored on the coastal strip of rivers and lakes, springs and irrigation networks were cleaned. The event "Parkter sherui" was held in national parks and other natural areas.
