UMIRZAK SHUKEYEV CONGRATULATED TURKESTANIS ON THE FORMATION OF SAURAN DISTRICT

A new Sauran district has been created in the Turkestan region. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. At the weekly staff meeting, the mayor of the region Umirzak Shukeyev congratulated the Turkestanis on the historic event. A special commission is responsible for the implementation of all measures related to the creation of a new district.

"In accordance with the Decree of the Head of State, a new district Sauran was created in the Turkestan region, with the administrative center in the village of Shornak. The district will include the rural districts of Shaga, Zhana Ikan, Eski Ikan, Ushkayik, Yassy, Orangay, Karashyk, Zhuynek, Babaykorgan, Shornak, Zhibek Zholy, Maidantal. Therefore, today is a historic day for everyone. In this regard, we must immediately take all measures, " said the governor of the region Umirzak Shukeyev.

It should be noted that the new district in the Turkestan region was decided to assign the name "Sauran", which has become a sacred concept in the spiritual heritage. In the Middle Ages, the historical settlement of Sauran was located along the Great Silk Road and was closely connected with ancient Turkestan. In the middle of the XIII century, Sauran was the capital of the Ak Orda. The village of Shornak is located 20 km northwest of the regional center of Turkestan. Today, 12 thousand people live. The population of the newly created district exceeds 100 thousand people. The total area of the district of 12 rural districts, formerly part of the city of Kentau, with the administrative center, will be about 650 thousand hectares.
