THE REPUBLICAN COMMAND AND STAFF EXERCISES "KOKTEM-2021" WERE HELD IN THE TURKESTAN REGION

The event was held in order to improve the work of the state civil protection system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations, as well as to prepare management bodies, forces and means of civil protection services for the flood season.

The Republican command and staff exercises "Koktem-2021" were held from March 4 to 5. The exercises started on the signal "Dabyl-1001". The emergency task was delivered to the cities and districts, regional services of the State Health Service. The regional headquarters of the exercises provided a clear performance of the duties of the services and formations of the GZ, reported on the readiness for emergency and emergency work. In particular, this is a search and rescue of people, first aid, evacuation of victims and property from areas of flooding and flooding. In addition, it is the strengthening of dangerous flood zones, cleaning of canals and ditches near flood zones of settlements, and more. The issues of providing the personnel of the civil protection units with food and fuel and lubricants were worked out.

Further, according to the scenario of the exercise, the operational duty officer of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Turkestan region received the signal "Taskyn-2002". Heavy rains, snowmelt and a sharp rise in the water level on the Sasyk River provoked flooding of residential buildings in the village of Ekpendy near the city of Arys. Emergency rescue operations have begun in the area.

It should be noted that about 100 personnel of the Emergency Situations Service, evacuation equipment and motor pumps participated in the exercises. Representatives of the local executive body and the Police Department were also involved.

The local executive body with the akimat of the village of Ekpendy immediately notified the residents of the houses that were in the flood zone and under its threat, through the loudspeaker of the car of the district police. A reception center for the victims was opened on the basis of the general secondary school named after K. Baimenov. In addition, the work of the veterinary group was organized to receive and drive pets to a safe area.

During the practical classes, together with the civil protection services, emergency rescue and emergency work was carried out to eliminate emergencies in the event of an unfavorable development of the flood situation in the spring period. Coordination of actions was carried out online between the districts and the response services in the Situation Center.
