UMIRZAK SHUKEYEV DISCUSSED ISSUES OF BILATERAL COOPERATION WITH THE ITALIAN AMBASSADOR

Mayor of Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev received the Italian delegation headed by the Italian Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan Pasquale D'Avino. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects in the region.
The head of the region noted that favorable conditions have been created for investors in the region. In addition, Turkestan leads the country in attracting investment. Today, in the region, with the participation of the Italian company "Arm Wind", a solar power plant with a capacity of 50 MW is being built in the village of Shauldir, Otyrar district.
"Assigning the city the status of a regional center gave a significant impetus to attract investment not only in the city, but also in the entire region. At the same time, in order to further improve the investment climate, we have carried out extensive work to systematize the processes of attracting investment and supporting investors. In addition, the concept of transition to a green economy is being successfully implemented, " said U. Shukeyev.
In turn, Pasquale D'Avino expressed his delight at visiting the spiritual center of the Turkic world. The Italian Ambassador noted that today Turkestan has turned into a giant construction site, especially the cultural and historical center of the regional center has been transformed. Also, according to him, Italian entrepreneurs are interested in close cooperation, including jointly developing tourism, green energy and agriculture.
At the end of the meeting, the governor of the region expressed his readiness for long-term cooperation and to provide full support to the initiatives of Italian companies in the region.
