"The projects implemented within the framework of the Comprehensive Plan of Socio-Economic Development of the Turkestan region until 2024 are very important for the Turkestan region. Therefore, I ask you to help finance these projects from the national budget. The" state program of water resources management for 2020-2030 " of the government includes a project for major repairs of several water bodies in the territory of the Turkestan region. In these projects for the current year, a budget application is submitted to clarify the republican budget for 2021-2023 in order to consider funding for major repairs of 17 facilities. During the implementation of the projects, guaranteed water supply will be achieved on an area of 20,267 hectares. In this regard, I ask you to assist in considering the issue of the upcoming financing of the republican budget, " the head of the department said.

Turkestan main canal is currently undergoing major renovations, the construction of the Kensai-Koskorgan-2 reservoir is underway and a project has been implemented to divert wastewater from the Syrdarya River by machine to the Turkestan Main Canal. At the expense of the regional budget for the last 2 years, 61 channels with a length of 243 km were repaired, 42 vertical wells were restored. As a result, the water supply of 44.3 thousand hectares of irrigated land was improved, 53 million m3 of water were saved.

Mechanical cleaning of 21 channels was carried out on the “Turan su“ channel. 97 internal channels along the Arys-Turkestan main canal have been accepted into the regional municipal ownership, and a marginal tariff has been approved for these internal channels. In addition, the roadmap " on the implementation of priority measures for the development of the city of Turkestan "is developing a project" construction of a machine channel from the Syrdarya River, which will adorn the Arys-Turkestan canal". Taking into account the importance of these projects for the Turkestan region, an additional limit for the wastewater of the Syrdarya River was requested. These problems will not be long in coming.
