TURKESTAN HAS BECOME A WORLD HERITAGE CITY

The spiritual center of the Turkic world has been officially accepted into the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OGVN). This will increase the status of the city and become a special circumstance of pride for the residents of the daily prosperous Turkestan.
The mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, which conquered the world with a sky-colored dome, will now attract even more tourists. The city will reach a new level of tourism development.
The Organization of World Heritage Cities was established on September 8, 1993 in the city of Fez (Morocco). The OGVN is a collective council for issues related to the city's management of World Heritage sites. The organization maintains links on its territory with more than 300 cities on the UNESCO World Heritage List. These cities are home to a total of more than 164 million people.
The OGVN helps member cities adapt to the requirements of UNESCO World Heritage Listing and improve their management practices. To this end, the X International Conference of Eurasian World Heritage Cities will be held in Turkestan on April 2. This conference will be held within the framework of the partnership of the Organization of World Heritage Cities.
