IN THE KELES DISTRICT WILL PURIFY THE WATER CANALS WITH A LENGTH OF 220 KM

In the Keles district this year, funds from the local budget are provided for carrying out works on mechanical cleaning, maintenance of channels and discharge ditches with a length of 220 km. These works will prevent the overflow of channels. In the case of cleaning water utilities from accumulated garbage, about a thousand hectares will be put into circulation, and the capacity of water delivery to 5 thousand hectares will also improve.

Since the Keles district is agricultural, most of the population is employed in the agricultural sector. Without water supply systems, it is difficult to develop agriculture. To date, the district has 145 channels, 147 discharge channels, three water intakes and the Akylbeksay reservoir with a capacity of 25 million cubic meters of water.

Most farmers receive irrigation water from the Keles river and the Zakh water system, the Ashynau canal, the Bozsu, Ak-koily water systems, and the STK and VTK channels. Since the beginning of 2020, at the expense of the district budget, channels and branches with a length of 100 km have been cleared, 350 hectares have been put into circulation, and the capacity of about 2.5 thousand hectares has been improved.
