UMIRZAK SHUKEYEV CRITICIZED THE WORK OF A NUMBER OF OFFICIALS

A staff meeting was held in the regional akimat under the chairmanship of Umirzak Shukeyev, at which the responsible heads of the industry reported on the comments made at the Government meeting. After criticizing the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at an expanded meeting of the Government, a number of officials of the Turkestan region received reprimands and disciplinary penalties.
Recall that at the expanded meeting of the Government, where they reviewed the results of the socio-economic development of the country in 2020, President K.Tokayev noted that the order given to the Government and akims to increase the local content in procurement is being implemented unsatisfactorily. In particular, as part of the implementation of infrastructure programs during construction and installation works under the state program "Nurly zher" for a total of 100 million tenge, the construction sites of the region were provided with domestic goods by 64%. The akim of the region reprimanded the head of the regional construction department for improper control and supervision.
Also at the expanded meeting, the President separately focused on the problem of pastures. The shortage of land that should be available to rural residents is also recorded in the Turkestan region.
The head of the region gave two weeks to the leadership of the regional administration and the akims of districts and cities. It was instructed to develop and present a step-by-step algorithm for returning unused agricultural pasture lands to state ownership, and to return the vacant land to the state by the end of the year.
At the same time, the head of the regional department for the coordination of employment and social programs, Asiya Temirbayeva, made a report on employment issues. As it was noted at the enlarged meeting of the Government, the mandatory pension contributions of some citizens employed under state programs are not listed in the region. As part of this issue, the governor of the region instructed the head of the department together with the Department of Revenue of the region to conduct an audit. The results of the check should be known within a week. Otherwise, appropriate measures will be taken to the responsible specialists. Disciplinary penalties were also applied to the heads of social departments of the akimat of Turkestan and Kentau, where the lowest rates were recorded.
