THE EVENT "SAFE CITY" IS BEING HELD IN TURKESTAN

Order is being restored in Turkestan. This is facilitated by the project "Turkestan-A Safe City". Since January 1, an operational and preventive event "Turkestan - A Safe city" has been held in the spiritual city. The goal is not to fine, but to restore security. In Turkestan, about 50 "smart" video cameras have been installed to monitor traffic and security in courtyards. In the near future, it is planned to increase their number.

 

Employees of the Turkestan City Police Department have stopped a number of offenses since the beginning of the year. The police, who closely monitor the order, have identified more than 7 thousand administrative offenses related to the road industry. In total, about 1.5 thousand administrative protocols were drawn up on the principle of zero tolerance.

 

During the large-scale event, 27 citizens who drove a car under the influence of alcohol were identified. Measures are being taken on them under Article 608 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. By the court's decision, they were found guilty and arrested. Those who drank alcoholic beverages and got behind the wheel were deprived of the right to drive for 7 years and subjected to administrative arrest for 15 days.

 

In order to strengthen the order, the head of the Police Department of the Turkestan region, Major General of the police Kairat Dalbekov allocated to the event "Safe City" from among the employees of the department, departments, departments and traffic police of the regional police department, a total of about 100 police officers and five car crews. They make efforts to ensure public order, public safety, prevention and suppression of crimes on the territory of the city.
