TURKESTAN: 6 THOUSAND RESIDENTS OF MAKTAARAL ARE PROVIDED WITH HIGH-QUALITY DRINKING WATER

In Maktaaral district of Turkestan region, out of 69 settlements, 67 are provided with centralized drinking water supply. Last year, 726 million tenge was allocated from the budget for the construction of drinking water systems in the settlements of Nauryz, Alash, Orgebas, Atakent, Bereke, Ferdausi, and construction works were carried out. The construction of four facilities has been completed and drinking water systems have been put into operation. The remaining two facilities will be launched this year. By the end of the year, drinking water systems were completely updated in 4 settlements with a population of about 6 thousand people.
36 settlements in the district are provided with natural gas. That is, 66% of more than 133 thousand residents use natural gas. Last year, 46.2 million tenge was allocated from the regional budget for gasification of Energetiki Street in the village of Myrzakent, construction and installation works were carried out by the contractor. Currently, work is underway to connect natural gas to houses.
In addition, for the allocation of 2.2 billion tenge for the full gas supply of Zhanazhol and Nurlybayev rural districts and for the gas supply of 9 more settlements, documents have been developed and submitted to the regional branch departments for the purpose of allocating funds.
It should be noted that within the framework of investment projects of "Ontustik Zharyk Transit" LLP in 2020, power lines and columns with a total length of 50.5 km, as well as 8 transformers at substations, will be completely updated in Maktaaral district.
