The coronavirus pandemic has not become a reason for avoiding civic duty. In compliance with all precautionary measures, residents of the Turkestan region who fell ill with coronavirus also voted in the elections of deputies of the mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan on an equal basis with the rest.
Members of the precinct commission in protective suits with a portable box helped thirty patients of Saryagash central hospital to vote without leaving the ward. Note that Covid-19 is registered only in two of them, and twenty-eight people have pneumonia. Thirteen patients with the same diagnosis at the Lenger city hospital also voted. And twenty more patients of Zhetysai central district hospital also decided to participate in the elections.
They voted in a contactless way. For example, voters dropped their ballots into a portable box on the landing (adjacent territory). It should be noted that before receiving the ballot, voters wore protective masks and treated their hands with antiseptic.
Members of the precinct commission also necessarily disinfected hands and a portable box, preventing the reuse of personal protective equipment. They were immediately sent for further disposal in a tightly closed container or tank.
