PRESIDENT OF VOLLEYBALL FEDERATION ELECTED IN TURKESTAN REGION

In order to develop volleyball at the world level, the volleyball federation of the Turkestan region was established.
Deputy akim of the region Myrzaliyev Meirzhan Iyabayevich was elected President of the Federation, and the head of the police Department of the Turkestan region, major General of the police Kairat Dalbekov, was appointed first Vice-President. The chief police officer of the region, who is himself engaged in sports, Kairat Sultanovich, will contribute to the development of volleyball at the world level. Congratulating on the significant date, deputy akim of Turkestan region Saken Kalkamanov said that in the future this sport will be widely spread in the region.

According to industry experts, volleyball in the country is based in the South. The main proof of this is that the Kazakh volleyball players from Turkestan, led by October Zharylgapov, won the European Cup. This victory was recognized by the countries of the old continent, according to today's meeting.

Since our country gained independence, Kazakhstani athletes have been competing in the top league. Volleyball players of the regional sports games club "Turan" are achieving great success. Now a women's team will be formed in Turkestan, which will compete in the championship of Kazakhstan. In addition, volleyball sports will be activated in villages and districts, where talented young people will come. Official regional and district championships will also be held.
