U. SHUKEYEV: ON BEHALF OF ELBASY TURKESTAN IS TURNING INTO AN INTERNATIONAL CITY

On behalf of Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, Turkestan is turning into an international city. The pace of construction is not slowing down. The tasks set by the Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev give a new impetus to the development of the Holy city. In addition, a number of new facilities will be put into operation in the regional center in the near future. This was stated by the governor of the region Umirzak Shukeyev at the regular fifty-fourth session of the Turkestan regional maslikhat of the sixth convocation.

"After Turkestan became a regional center, a very large and large-scale work is being carried out in the region. We have done a lot of work together with you. We have big and important tasks ahead of us. This includes, of course, the formation of the city of Turkestan as a regional center. Moreover, there is a goal of socio-economic development of the region, as well as the spiritual and cultural sphere. You can all see the results of the work carried out in the region. The city is building an administrative and business center, forming a cultural and spiritual center, and improving the territory around the Yassaui mausoleum. A completed facilities already gave a special flavor to the city for its architectural shape," - said Umirzak Estaevich Shukeev has been speaking at a meeting of the session.

The session was attended by the сhairman of the regional election Commission, heads of state bodies, as well as representatives of the media. The meeting was led by the deputy of the regional maslikhat U. Rakheev. The agenda of the session included 19 issues: approval of the regional budget for 2021-2023, approval of the personal composition of the Commission on anti-corruption under the governor's office of the Turkestan region, reports of the permanent commissions of the Turkestan regional maslikhat on activities in the current year and the work plan for 2021. According to the results of consideration of these issues, the deputies made appropriate decisions. At the same time, a number of deputies who completed their powers at the session of the regional maslikhat of the sixth convocation were awarded special awards.
