A representative of the Office HRC for Aktobe region provided assistance in assigning a disability to a citizen

The representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Aktobe region was approached by an applicant with a request to assist in assigning a disability to her relative.

According to the applicant, the man lives in a remote area of the region and has had serious health problems and health limitations for many years. However, he does not receive any benefits from the state, as he has no disability.

With the assistance of the Ombudsman's representative, the man was provided with appropriate medical assistance. After an examination, he was assigned a disability.

A representative of the Ombudsman's Office participated in a conference of the Rule of Law Programme in Central Asia

 

A representative of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Kazakhstan, Anvar Sabirov, took part in the Final Regional Conference organised by the Council of Europe together with the European Union.

The event brought together representatives of the European Union and the Council of Europe, government agencies and organisations, as well as experts from Central Asian countries to summarise the results and outcomes of the programme, assess the experience of four years of cooperation, and discuss the benefits of the programme and future cooperation in the region.

It should be noted that the joint Council of Europe-European Union Rule of Law Programme aims to strengthen human rights, the rule of law and democracy in accordance with European and other international standards. The programme was based on an approach that takes into account the specificities and needs of each individual country.

A representative of the Ombudsman's Office, speaking at a session on international human rights standards, noted the importance of the work carried out and its positive impact on the development of human rights institutions and the strengthening of the protection of citizens' rights.

At the end of the conference, the participants summed up the results of the programme and evaluated the experience of four years of cooperation under the project.
